SUMMARY:Climate & Health Speaker Series: It’s Getting Hot in Here
DESCRIPTION:Center for Climate\, Health\, and Healthcare ‘Climate & Health Speaker Series: It’s Getting Hot in Here’ with: \nCatherine Chen\, MD\, FACP\, Associate Professor of Medicine\, RWJMS \n\n “Systems\, Not Silos: An Interprofessional Framework for Climate Health Education” \n\nTuesday\, September 1 1:00pm \nIFH 5th Floor Conference Room\, 112 Paterson Street\, New Brunswick & Via Zoom https://go.rutgers.edu/osch642i \nClimate change is arguably medicine’s clearest case study in systems-based practice and multidisciplinary engagement. This talk maps a practical\, portable framework for embedding climate health across health professions curricula\, built through work with the Climate Health Curriculum Tool (CHCT) and grounded in real student projects spanning quality improvement\, supply chain analysis\, patient communication\, and curriculum design. \nDrawing on lessons from an active collaboration with the School of Pharmacy\, the session offers students\, educators\, and researchers concrete entry points for getting involved—whether that means proposing a project\, adapting a course\, or building the next interprofessional research collaboration.
