Hongjie (Harry) Qian, MS, BScPharm, is a PhD student in Pharmacoepidemiology under the supervision of Prof Chintan Dave at the Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Treatment Science, Rutgers Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research, focusing on real-world evidence and drug safety in chronic disease management.

He previously completed his MS degree in Biostatistics at Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science, UC San Diego (San Diego, CA; 2025) and holds dual BS degrees in Pharmacy and Biochemistry & Pharmacology (Hons) from China Pharmaceutical University (Nanjing, China; 2023) and Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences, University of Strathclyde (Glasgow, Scotland; 2023), respectively.

Currently, his research centers on comparative safety and effectiveness, drug-drug interactions, polypharmacy and deprescribing, and multimorbidity in the population using large-scale real-world databases, including claims data and electronic health records.
