Webinar: MOUD Utilization Among Philadelphia Recovery Home Residents

Combining primary data from recovery home operators and Medicaid claims data, this webinar will describe and present preliminary findings from a pilot study describing the inner contextual factors related to resident MOUD use. Findings from the pilot study will also characterize residents’ MOUD utilization patterns during the first 90 days of their recovery home stay and examine relationships between resident MOUD use and recovery home organizational factors.

Presenter

Jennifer Miles, PhD, is an Instructor at the Institute for Health’s Center for Health Services Research and the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Using primary survey and qualitative data combined with population-level administrative and health care claims data, her research aims to build a reliable evidence base on effective strategies to increase equitable uptake of evidence-based practices for people with substance use disorders.

Her work has been funded by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, the National Institute on Drug Abuse (K99DA057372), and the Preparedness and Treatment Equity Coalition. Her research has been published in high-impact journals such as Health Affairs, Drug and Alcohol Dependence, and JAMA Network Open.
