Diana T. Sanchez (Ph.D., 2005, Social Psychology and Women’s Studies, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI) is an associate professor in the Department of Psychology. Her research focuses on social stigma and intergroup relations with a particular focus on the experiences and perceptions of racial minorities and women. Current projects include identifying how gender ideologies and roles influence men and women’s health behaviors and beliefs. In addition, she explores how different styles of coping with discrimination influence stress, autonomy, and illness symptomatology.
