Adeyinka Ajayi, MD, MPH, is an Associate Program Manager at the Rutgers Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research, where he supports the Center for Population Behavioral Health under the leadership of Dr. Tammy Chung. In his role, Dr. Ajayi oversees the administration of multidisciplinary research projects, including grant development and submission, budget management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination.

Dr. Ajayi is a physician with over eight years of experience in clinical research, public health, and community-based health initiatives. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Lagos State University in Nigeria and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from New York University. His professional background spans health education, health equity, child and adolescent health, mental health advocacy, and inclusive community engagement.

Prior to joining Rutgers, Dr. Ajayi held research and program management roles at NYU Langone Health and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he contributed to expanding access to clinical research across diverse populations. His work has consistently focused on improving health outcomes through evidence-based strategies and culturally responsive programming.

Dr. Ajayi is passionate about advancing equitable access to health care and fostering collaborative research environments. He brings a strong commitment to leadership, innovation, and advocacy in public health and behavioral health research.
