Farzin Khosrow-Khavar is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology with the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at Rutgers School of Public Health, a core member of PETS, and an affiliate member of Rutgers Cancer Institute. Dr. Khosrow-Khavar is an epidemiologist with a focus on integrating advanced study designs and methods with large electronic health records to generate robust evidence that informs the equitable, effective, and safe use of cancer treatments in clinical practice. He is currently leading observational studies, funded by a career development award from the American Heart Association, to advance the evidence base for the cardiovascular management and outcomes of patients diagnosed with prostate cancer. Dr. Khosrow-Khavar received his Ph.D. in Epidemiology from McGill University and completed his postdoctoral training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He has conducted numerous pharmacoepidemiologic studies examining the safety of drugs used in management of hormone-sensitive malignancies. His work has been published in Circulation, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Annals of Oncology, Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, and American Journal of Epidemiology.
