Lihui Tu, PhD

Postdoctoral Researcher, Herbert and Jacqueline Krieger Klein Alzheimer’s Research Center

Dr. Lihui Tu is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Health. Building on his background as a clinical psychiatrist, he received his Ph.D. in Geriatric Psychiatry from Peking University. He has specialized expertise in Alzheimer’s disease and neuroimaging, particularly in fMRI analysis and handling longitudinal databases with advanced statistical modeling. Before joining Rutgers, he spent over a year as a postdoctoral researcher at RIKEN in Japan. Currently, his research focuses on cognitive aging within Native American populations. He uses big data analysis and machine learning to investigate risk factors for cognitive decline and dementia. Outside of his research, Dr. Tu enjoys cooking, playing tennis, and swimming.
