Naomi Cruz

Naomi Cruz is a PhD candidate in the Health Systems and Policy concentration at the Rutgers School of Public Health where she works under the guidance of Dr. Hillary Samples. Naomi’s research draws on large administrative claims datasets and national survey data to evaluate mental health treatment patterns, outcomes, and disparities with a focus on adolescent suicide prevention. She received a BA in psychology and public health from Columbia University in 2021. As a doctoral student, Naomi completed the New Jersey Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (NJLEND) Fellowship at the Boggs Center on Disability and Human Development.
