Office of Communications and Marketing

Amplifying Research Impact

The Office of Communications and Marketing aspires to create engaging print and digital content and communications that fuel the Institute’s mission to be a national leader in improving population health.

The office aims to elevate the Institute’s identity from within Rutgers’ campuses to the international stage; to provide clear and relevant information to faculty and staff, peer institutions and researchers, industry and community partners, policy makers and the public; and to support the Institute’s centers and research studies and other departments, while promoting interdisciplinary work and impact.

IFH’s communications function manages internal and external communications and marketing strategies, including websites, newsletters, flyers, brochures, reports and social media. The department produces press releases and expert pitches promoting IFH research and strategically positioning IFH researchers as experts in their fields. Faculty are media trained and supported through media interviews. The office supports various research studies with marketing and advertising materials for recruitment, social media promotion and development of branded merchandise. The department also supports scholarship and internship programs at IFH and manages a variety of events, including town halls, luncheons, and seminar series.

The office communicates with diverse audiences, including Rutgers faculty and students, and works collaboratively with communications offices at the University and Rutgers Health.
