Rutgers Giving Day is Friday, April 24! On this day, you have the opportunity to support the Rutgers University and Rutgers Health community to advance health research, patient care, and the education of tomorrow’s leaders.

Please consider supporting #RUGivingDay and advancing the Rutgers causes that mean the most to you. This year, the Rutgers Institute for Health’s fund is supporting our Student Trainee Programs.

Program areas of support include our Summer Internship program, whichprovides the opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students from universities across the country to gain hands-on experience with population health research, mentored by world-class faculty at the Institute.

Since 2021, 50 interns, selected from over 1,800 applicants, have participated in IFH’s internship program. Interns have received prestigious awards, presented their research at national conferences, and published research articles in impactful journals. Learn what our 2025 summer interns accomplished!

Additionally, the Data Scientist Pathway is an experiential learning opportunity based at IFH for Rutgers students in the Student Excellence, Experiential Learning, and Development in Data Science (SEED2S) program.

Since its pilot year in 2024, 6 undergraduate students have received mentorship and real-world experience and have been introduced to population health and quantitative research methodologies through year-long internships.

For over 40 years, IFH has been dedicated to advancing population health research and training the next generation of curious, innovative, and talented scholars. Thank you for being part of the IFH community.
