Elizabeth Stone is an Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry in the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Core Faculty in the Center for Health Services Research within the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research. She earned her PhD in Health and Public Policy and MSPH in Health Policy at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Stone’s research sits at the intersection of health services research and policy evaluation, applying both quantitative and qualitative methods to examine implementation, enforcement, and impact of health and social policies. Her research aims to improve access to and quality of services for individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disability. Dr. Stone’s work has been supported by the National Institute of Mental Health and published in high-impact journals such as JAMA Health Forum, Health Affairs, and Psychiatric Services.
