Teams of Rutgers Institute for Health faculty members attended the Rutgers University Equity and Inclusion’s Mutual Mentoring Grant Symposium in March at the New Brunswick Theological Seminary. According to the program’s website, “The Mutual Mentoring program supports faculty at any career stage in developing robust mentorship networks and ensure all faculty have the resources they need to thrive.” The symposium showcased the first cycle of grant programs and the awardees shared their experiences building mentoring networks.

The 2023-24 Mutual Mentoring Grant Awardees included:

Early Career Peer Mentoring Network (PMN): Supporting, Sustaining, and Striving for Success – a program developed by IFH’s Ann Nguyen, Farzin Khosrow-Khavar, Chintan Dave, Rutgers Psychology’s Jessica Hamilton, the Center of Alcohol and Substance Use Studies’ Tanya Saraiya, and the Rutgers Department of Labor Studies and Employment Relations’ Todd Vachon.

Peer-Networking to Foster Research and Collaboration within the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research – a program developed by IFH’s Darina Petrovsky, Marie Sizemore, Login George, Yanping Jiang, Elizabeth Luth, Michelle Chen, and Brett Millar.
