Please join us for our next Rutgers Institute for Health Brown Bag Seminar as we welcome Dr. Min Hee Kim, Postdoctoral Scholar, Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies at the University of California San Francisco, who will present “Advancing health equity in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementia (ADRD) prevention, diagnosis, and care through population health and systems-based research.”

Min Hee Kim is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies, University of California San Francisco. Her research focuses on identifying place-based factors contributing to health and health disparities in later life. She studies 1) the health effects of life course structural determinants, namely structural racism-induced residential and education environment, and 2) how residential characteristics (i.e., built and social environment) shape the health and health care outcomes among the older adult population using the home and community-based service programs. Her recent National Institute on Aging-funded project aims to examine the predictive value of timeliness of dementia diagnosis measures derived from surveys linked with Medicare Claims records and to study modifiable structural drivers of racial disparities in timely ADRD diagnosis.
