Please join us for our next Brown Bag Seminar featuring Dr. Sijiu Wang, postdoc scholar at the Department of Public Health Sciences, University of Chicago’s Biological Sciences Division, discussing her research on “The Role of Medicaid Home- and Community-Based Services in Use of Medicare Post-Acute Care.”

Sijiu Wang is a postdoc scholar at the Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Chicago’s Biological Sciences Division. Her long-term career objective is to conduct research that improves long-term care and post-acute care for vulnerable older adults. Some of her recent work focuses on the trend, the geographic variation, the generosity of Medicaid Home and Community-based Services, and their effects on various outcomes among Medicare-Medicaid dually enrolled individuals. She is also interested in the access to and the quality of care in nursing homes. Sijiu has obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Preventive Medicine from Peking University, an MS in Health Services Research from the University of Michigan, and a Ph.D. in Health Services Research and Policy from the University of Rochester.
