Nathan Stewart, M.S.

Nathan Stewart, M.S. (he/him) is a research assistant with Rutgers Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research. He supports a research team that collaborates with community members, local organizations, and government officials to achieve more equitable health outcomes for New Jersey residents. Nathan is also the incoming coordinator for the New Jersey Practice-Based Research Network (NJPBRN) where he will serve as the liaison between New Jersey clinical practices and academic researchers to promote practice-led research and initiatives. Prior to his time at IFH, Nathan worked as a graduate research assistant for a clinical trial on the interaction between exercise and the type 2 diabetes drug, metformin. Nathan received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia where he established an organization dedicated to providing resources and a safe space for LGBTQIA+ students in STEM-related fields.
