Sherry Huang

Dr. Sherry Huang comes to RBHS from University of California San Diego (UCSD) where she served as Associate Dean and DIO for Graduate Medical Education (GME). She graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with an S.B. in Chemistry and received her M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. She completed her general pediatrics residency and fellowship training at UCSD in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition.

Dr. Huang is responsible for advancing our vision, achieving the best GME educational, strategic and financial structure, and positioning Rutgers Health GME training programs for excellence. She will help design and craft the processes and structures necessary to coordinate a state-wide training environment. Dr. Huang is board certified in pediatric gastroenterology. Her research has focused on translational research in pediatric colon cancer genetics and early risk colon cancer. Dr. Huang also serves as an invited ACGME member for the Clinical Learning Environment Committee.
