In response to the policy changes in data access recently announced by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Rutgers University researchers sent a letter to CMS leadership on April 9, 2024, to emphasize how the policy changes will negatively impact health research. The letter was sent by Tobias Gerhard, Professor of Pharmacy and Epidemiology, Director of the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy and Aging Research, and the Director of the Center for Pharmacoepidemiology and Treatment Science, on behalf of over 30 faculty, staff, and trainees at Rutgers and partner institutions.
